It all began, when Beth Emhoff contracted the MEV-1 virus from a chef(by shaking hands) in Hong Kong, who had  previously handled a slaughtered infected pig(the bat dropped afruit,which was infected with virus, and the pig eats it)She dropped her phone which was picked up for her by a woman(thus infecting her), who later flew to London.The waitor picked her glass, and contracted the disease. The waitor daily commutes to Hong Kong from Guangdong province.On the way to Minneapolis, she has a stopover at Chicago airport. There she meets her ex boyfriend. She sleeps with him thus infecting him as well.She then travels back home in Minneapolis, and spreads the virus to her son by touching him.
