This is the first half of the second chapter of a story im working on Thursday 7:15 A. M.
I’m dreading going to school today. I don’t want to walk into my history class and have everyone staring at me like I'm some shiny new piece of art. I’d rather be invisible than have to talk to anybody! I gather all the energy I have to get myself up and out of bed. It’s literally only the second day of school and I already don’t wanna go back. I wish I had a friend to talk to. I wish my best friend went to the same school as me and I wish I hadn’t skipped a grade but apparently I was much more advanced than most of the 7th and 8th graders in my old school. I sigh. Whatever. I quickly ran downstairs to the front door. I open it and step outside. It’s a little chilly but not too bad. Not hot enough to be wearing shorts. I’m definitely wearing sweat pants today and maybe a short sleeve shirt? Yeah. I quickly dart back up the stairs into my bedroom, slam the door shut behind me and frantically search through the clothes in my closet and all my dresser drawers for the perfect outfit. I managed to find some black sweats and a grey shirt that has the word “London” lined across the chest. I got it from mine, my brothers and my mom’s trip last year to London. I remember it like it was yesterday. One of the days we were there we were driving down Westminster bridge and Big Ben was right next to us! Big Ben was way prettier at night when he was all lit up. That was my favorite memory from the trip. My second favorite has to be when we drove across tower bridge because right after we went over the bridge split into two and started going up! It was crazy I’d never seen anything like it in my entire life. I hadn't been over many bridges in my life. It was so cool. I also got to see Buckingham palace. We didn't go in though. It would’ve been so cool to see the queen and everything but we only admired the palace from the outside. After seeing the palace mom took Isaac and I to a small little shop for tourists called Brick Lane Souvenirs and she said we could whatever we wanted as long as it didn’t cost a crazy amount of money. I didn’t get much because I felt bad for spending mom’s money but I got a small little London phone booth keychain, a necklace that has big ben, a red double decker London bus, and the british flag on it and of course I have my grey shirt that has the word London on it. It didn’t cost too much but at the same time it was a bit pricey for mom’s liking. I wish I could go back to that and relive it all over again. I hear my mom yelling my name so I quickly grab my bag and dart out my door almost trip and fall down the steps because of how fast i’m running but I finally make it to the front door where mom is standing. “Got everything?” she asks with a big ol’ smile on her face. I check to make sure I have everything. “I’m good, let's go” I say in a cheery tone of voice. Today is gonna be a good day. I can feel it. About 20 minutes later we pull up in front of my school where kids are waiting outside to be let into the school. I hop out of the car and basically skip to where everyone else is standing. Which is right in front of the main entrance. I watch as my mom drives off. Then the bell rings and the doors unlock. Everyone starts to rush into the school all at once like a herd of zombies in the walking dead after just one person. I patiently wait until I can fit into the door instead of being crushed between 20-35 stinky teenagers. What was my teacher's name again? It'll be fine. I think it was room 203. I look down at my schedule this time I make it to my class without running into any mysterious guys. I walk in and sit down at my desk. The bell rings and class begins not long after class begins a tall light-skinned emo looking boy and the principal walk in. “Ah! I believe this is the new student who just transferred here from France. “Bonjour” he says facing the class with his long black hair covering his face. All the girls sigh after he said that. They are all making the same face at him. They all look like that one emoji with the heart eyes but mix that emoji and the one that's drooling together. I roll my eyes. He’s not even that good-looking. “je m'appelle Kris” He says in his French accent. So he’s gonna need someone who can teach him English. I know a little bit of French. “Can anyone here translate for us today?” the teacher asks. No one raises their hand. I mumble “He said his name is Kris” there's a very long silence after that I don’t think he heard me so I speak a little louder “He said his name is Kris” I say it as if I have confidence. “Olivia! Why don’t you translate everything Kris says today? How does that sound?” he asks “I guess it’s alright” I say nervously. “Kris this young lady here is gonna help us out today are you ok with that?” he asks
