Explanation:

I was sick

I remember the day I caught loneliness

It was the day we moved away

It lay like a stone in my lap

and no matter how hard I tried,

Ripping, tearing,

it just wouldn't go away

I never knew emptiness until I caught loneliness

Cast aside, passed by, left astray

I took steps to destroy it

before it crushed me, sapped me, left me victim

I pulled harder ripping that stone right from my chest

and threw it all back into the void from where it came

yes, I had thrown loneliness away
