How is the use of the word theory in science different from its more common use

The scientific use of the word "theory," is a hypothesis which has not been proved yet. Once it gets proved, then it becomes a scientific law. If the theory can not be proved or debunked, then it remains a theory

Theory is science can change and be added to. Theory also describes something from the natural world.
