It’s displaying itself with the sharp rise of xenophobic rhetoric sweeping the world. In Canada, the Yellow Vest Movement (an extremist terrorist group) talks about how all people should be equal, but then protests against immigration and says the government is ruining Canada by letting foreigners come take their jobs and force their religions on us. We see people opposing immigration measures because of a fabricated border crisis, and see people attacking others over their religion. I recently got into a prolonged argument over claims that foreigners shouldn’t come to our country and force their religion on us, even though that’s exactly what white Christian Europeans did when they came to Canada and continue to do.
