Neither are correct. hardening of chocolate is only a physical change, as the chemical makeup of the chocolate is still the same.
for example, if you were to freeze water and make an ice cube, and then melt that ice cube, the end result is the same as what you started with-it is still water. if they were to melt the  hardened chocolate, it would still be the same chocolate, just in a different form.
