1. Two very large (50m x 50m) and 10mm thick plastic discs have the volume charge density ρ1 = +5μC/m3 for the left disc and ρ2 = +3μC/m3 for the right disc in the figure. The discs are placed in parallel. The adjacent surfaces of the discs are 5mm apart. Use Gauss law and superposition to determine the size and direction of the electric field at the following points, far from the outer edges of these discs.

a) Dot A, 5mm from the left side of the left disc
b) Dot B, 2mm from the left side of the right disc
c) Point C, in the middle of the right disc.
