-3x + 5y = 5
5y = 5 + 3x
y=5/5 + 3x/5
y=1 + 3x/5

-2x -4y =-48
same as 2x + 4y = 48
 2x + 4 (1 + 3x/5 ) = 48
2x + 4 + 12x/5 = 48
2x +12x/5 = 48-4
10x/5 + 12x/5 =44
22x = 44 times 5 = 220
x = 220/22 =10
x = 10

y = 1 + 3x10/5
y = 1 + 30/5
y = 1 + 6 = 7
y = 7
