the error in lin solution is on the second line

which is 2x(4-17).it suppose to be 8x-34x.

I think this is the answer and also the mistake was that Lin forgot to add the negative symbol after solving the equation when he did 2x (4-17)

to find the perimeter, you add up all the lengths of the sides. in this case you would have to add up 18+22+40+80 which equals 160.
