Insurance is needed for Linda more than Kyle as she provides more income (would be more of a financial loss if anything happened to her). Need more life insurance than 100k for Kyle and certainly need even more for Linda. Need Income protection as well. 
They are saving some of their earnings which is great but all in a retirement fund plus 5k in cash. Diversify into property directly perhaps (though as financial adviser this is normally not where you want them to invest) and also some gearing could help substantially.
