For the expression  8 + 25 x 2 - 45, do the multiplication first.
-->  25 x 2 = 50
New expression --> 8 + 50 - 45

Then, do the addition.
--> 8 + 50 = 58
New expression --> 58 - 45

Finally, subtract 45 from 58.
--> 58 - 45 = 13
