The Industrial Revolution is the name given to the change from the small-scale production of goods by hand to the factory system. The Industrial Revolution can be defined as new manufacturing processes being brought about between the 1760's to the 1840's. This did include going from manual manufacturing to machine production, iron and chemical making processes, water power and steam power being used and the development of machine tools.
