How does horsepower compare to steam power??!! HELP! ASAP PLEASE !

Because question is unclear, I have 2 answers:

#1: Power using actual horses.

Steampower, at first, was slower than even the weakest of horses. Then, as technology improved, the steam engines became way faster and they easily out-ran, out-performed, and out-lasted horse power.

#2: Ferrari horsepower.

I said Ferrari cuz that's my fav type of car. Anyway. Horsepower (hp) is a unit of measurement of power usually in reference to the output of engines or motors. There are many different standards and types of horsepower. Two common definitions used today are the mechanical horsepower , which is about 745.7 watts, and the metric horsepower, which is approximately 735.5 watts. Steam power uses water, while horsepower uses gas and petreulum.
