The progressive era began social and political reform. The movement tried to improve and solve the problem related to wages and working conditions.The condition of workers in industries was worse as they were forced to work in close places with no ventilators.In textile industries, children work along with women with minimum wages and long working hours.

Therefore we can conclude that the Progressive movement tried to bring changes in society.

Child labor is the process of hiring children to work instead of getting them educated. It is the type of slavery.

Explanation:

The progressive Era was the time in history when there was huge progress in activism and power. In addition, the progressive era, was also the time when development, improvement and new changes occurred. However, the condition of workers was poor.  Poor condition of factory workers.  Dangerous machines and no ergonomics.  Children were made to work hours with little wages.  Children were also made to work underground in coal mines.  Many injuries and deaths of workers and children.
