In my opinion, the decision to invade was Wrong and one of the biggest mistakes in the modern history of the United States.

Iraq has been a close ally of the United States during the Iran-Iraq war. Donald Rumsfeld had personally met Saddam Hussein and even supplied him with weapons to fight the Iranians. 

However, when the dictator fell out with the United States, he was accused of possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction.

This piece of intelligence is now widely known to be 'bad intelligence' at best and is often described a lie by Tony Blair and George W Bush.

While, Saddam was not a great man, the overthrow of his government had only led to chaos and destruction. Over 1 million people have died and today, the population has no hope of ever living a good life.
