#1 Suggest Lara towards therapy. Therapy is one of the most beneficial ways of mentally and emotionally stabilizing yourself. Therapy may be good for Lara in this time.

#2 Help to give her good, experienced advice. Saying "Just leave him", is not something Lara may want to hear. Give her advice you think she will listen to. Maybe easing in the fact that she should talk to the police about her situation may help her more.

#3 Continue to help and be there for Lara when she needs you. Sometimes just having a friend in times like these can help emotionally stabilize a person.
