In "sonnet xv," why does the speaker not think merchants need to seek for precious things in far away places?

Amoretti is Edmund Spenser's sonnet sequence where we can read "Sonnet XV".  The poem is a blazon, a poetical convention that renders admiration for a beloved person's face and body which are compared with precious stones and metals. The speaker of the poem claims: "my love doth in her selfe containe / all this world's riches that may farre be found", meaning that all the precious things that merchants need to seek in remote places are found in her beloved. For him in a romantic way, it is unecessary to travel to far away lands in search for that treasure he has in her.

a true majority isn’t always needed to govern or to stop government. many times all that is needed is a strong minority. if a determined 30% of the population rises up against government in a concerted effort to bring it down, this size minority usually will succeed as long as those actively opposing the minority are less in force than the minority. so if 41% of the population sits at home watching tv rooting for one side or the other, they don’t matter. it’s the active parties who make a difference.
