Anyways, onto the point. I have to make a story about a personal situation/event, and it is, of course, gonna be about my teacher. Is it possible if you could answer this question saying "Of course I'll help you!" and I could comment on your answer to communicate?

the narrator is a first person, participant one, who describes in the simple past tense important and difficult events in his earlier life. he also provides temporal markers as the month (january) and the time (12: 30 pm). finally the account of his experience is very detailed, to the extent that a participant narrator would talk the same way about his experiences. a good example of such detail is the mention of the “bovril ration” which historically was a native american food adopted by european explorers in arctic and antarctic regions due to its high level of calories.

o'henry used irony in "the gift of the magi". this tool was essential to developing the story's theme by showing that the couple bought gifts for each other that they could not actually use at the moment. in addition, the author used this fact to show that people of the society should treasure the things they've received from others, because you may never know if they sacrificed their most treasured possession to aquire the gift.
