Lilly rested her arms on the windowsill and stared out through the glass. She saw the Sun peeking over the horizon like a bright, yellow- orange ball pushing its way into the sky. She pushed her window up a few inches. A pair of robins, just back from visiting the South for the winter,
busied themselves in the yard building a nest in a nearby tree. Lilly decided she needed to get busy, too. She made her bed and dug a cardboard
box out of her closet. She opened the box and spread the items across her bed. Lilly studied each item, each clue, carefully. If I concentrate, she
thought, I'll solve this mystery before lunchtime.
