"Federigo's Falcon" is one of the stories from "The Decameron" by Giovanni Boccaccio. In the story, we find the main character Federigo madly in love with a woman named Monna Giovanna. In order to win her love, with nothing else worthy to serve, he made a falcon dish by sacrificing his favorite falcon for dinner. Monna also had a son who was sick. He demanded that he will get well only if he eats Federigo's falcon. But she did not know that the falcon had already been served and eaten. So, without the falcon dish, her son eventually dies.
