When the narrator spems the night at the cementary, he sees how the dead rise from their tombs to changed the false and hypocritical engraving on their stones. The narrator's lover, whose stone said ‘She loved, was loved, and died,’ changed it for: ‘Having gone out one day, in order to deceive her lover, she caught cold in the rain and died.’”
