Why is it better to plaster a fake smile instead of letting tears escape?​

Depends exactly on the person. There is no right or wrong reason, and some people may think it is not better to plaster a fake smile. Personally, it is because it is easier. It is easier for the people around you to think you are okay, to think you are "normal". Most people do not care about your feelings, it is all about society's standards. To let the tears escape is to let the outside eat at you, starting from the inside, working your way out. You have to show them your fake smile so that they do not question. So that they do not question your weaknesses, your mental stability, or your life in general. They are nosy, they want to know your weaknesses, you cannot show them.
