At the end of the story, Phillip Malloy left Harrison High School and moved to Washington Academy, Ted Griffen got elected to the school board, the school's budget got ruined and Mrs. Narwin resigned from the school.

But in reality, he was suspended because of his disrespectful behavior to his teacher.
