Read the excerpt from Barrio Boy by Ernesto Galarza. We stayed only one day at the hotel, long enough for me to become acquainted with the bathtub, located in another closet next to the toilet. A rope of water twisted and whirled from a brass faucet, filling the tub. I sat in the cold water up to my neck and discovered that I could slide down the back of the tub and hit the bottom with a great splash. When my water party was interrupted, both the bathroom and I got a scrubbing.

the answer is d. books are banned from the library. this is an example of censorship because the library did not want people reading the content of those books. the library censored the books by banning them.

remember always that germany and italy, regardless of any formal declaration of war, consider themselves at war with the united states at this moment just as much as they consider themselves at war with britain or russia. and germany puts all the other republics of the americas into the same category of enemies. the people of our sister republics of this hemisphere can be honored by that fact.  

the true goal we seek is far above and beyond the ugly field of battle. when we resort to force, as now we must, we are determined that this force shall be directed toward ultimate good as well as against immediate evil. we americans are not destroyers — we are builders.

both the address and the poster use diction to convey their message. diction is defined as a style of writing or speaking based on the types of words chosen in order to send a message. parallelism is when a similar sentence structure is used for several sentences on a text; roosevelt's address doesn't follow that. repetition has to do with repeating a word or sentence in order to emphasize and idea, however neither the poster nor the address use repetion. finally, the address doesn't use images to convey a message.
