Unfortunately, current high school schedules require teens to stumble into their morning classes without enough sleep. Although homework, extracurriculars, and socializing keep teens up late, most high schools begin by 8 a. m. or earlier. Students don't learn well when they are exhausted.
To improve students' ability to learn, high school classes should not start before 10 a. m.
