Why does Charlotte say she decided to help Wilbur? Charlotte felt bored before Wilbur came along and helping him gave her something to do. Charlotte thinks it is wrong for people to eat animals. Fern made Charlotte promise to take care of Wilbur and Charlotte was determined to keep her promise. Charlotte liked Wilbur and saving him gave her life purpose.
