A student is writing an editorial and wants to revise the draft. Read the two paragraphs from the student's article and answer the question that follows.

Iā€™m writing to express my support for the administrationā€™s new ā€œzero toleranceā€ policy regarding cellphone use during school performances and assemblies. The same policy has long been in place during school hours, due to the disruption and distraction the devices cause. It is more than reasonable to extend this policy to other school events.

At a recent orchestra performance I had full view of the glow of not one, not two, but three cellphones, their owners busily tapping out messagesā€”for the duration of the performance. If those were emergencies, they were certainly long-winded ones. Granted, had I closed my eyes, the distraction would have been minimal. But it shouldnā€™t be my responsibility to ensure my enjoyment of the performance.

Which sentence would provide the BEST transition between the two paragraphs?
Group of answer choices
Some school events are, reasonably, excepted: sporting events, school assemblies, and any other event that doesn't require quiet and close attention.

Call it common courtesy, the social contract, whatever you likeā€”it is absent among my peers, and the administration has made the right call.

My understanding is that the administration has faced some opposition for this policy, but I would expect the outcry to die down quickly.

Some have argued that the ability to communicate is a safety issue; I can assure you that most of the time this is not what is at stake.

" keyn asked. tablin looked around the dirt courtyard. he tried to peer through the shadowy arches of the flowing barrel. he even twisted in his saddle to look across the merchant's bazaar, past tents and warehouses filled with goods. "i don't know," he said. "did you leave it in your mouth? it's the only place i can think of that's big enough." keyn laughed; something got stuck in his throat half way, and he coughed for breath. "i can see you're good to go,ā€ tablin observed as keyn struggled to clear his throat. ā€œgo get your horse yourself before i take the job and leave you to rot in the flowing barrel."
