colleague of the year
a couple of months ago, we had our annual colleague of the year' presentation. it was especially exciting for me as i had been nominated for
the new colleague' award. as the managing director read out the nominations my heart starts to pound and when he comes to who actually
won, i almost fainted. it was me!
i get out of my chair and walk up to the stage, my legs wobbling. the md gave me the microphone but it was some time before i could
actually speak. " you so much." i think i said. "i am so proud at being given this award."
when i got back to my table, i sank into my chair, grabs a drink of water and only then did i notice that as well as the award trophy i had a
cheque for £100.
