A person's behavior tends to reflect the impacts of the views of his/her family and friends. The more we interact with someone, the more are the chances of that particular person to shape our decisions, opinions and behavior. If a person is surrounded by people who tend to have a negative attitude, then the person will most likely suffer from depression or anger. A person who has positive people close to him will be able to live a more happy life.

The poem, Poison Tree, reflects how a person suppresses his anger towards an individual. Due to this anger, he has a negative approach towards life which eventually leads to murder.

In real- life, we see that children who have criticizing parents tend to be more negative in life. These people stay depressed throughout their lives and may also commit self-harm.
