The movement in our body is possible as result of contraction because their is an attachment of the muscle to the body internal organs. This movement as result of contraction aid the body joint stabilit( this as a result of extension of tendons over the body joints), posture(responsible fort us to stand and sit).

The skeletal muscles in our body are in active service to make sure thebody is held in stationary positions.they provide the free movement that allows the body to run and walk, in addition they provide subtle eye movement and even facial expressions.

when you breathe in, or inhale, your diaphragm contracts (tightens) and moves downward. this increases the space in your chest cavity, into which your lungs expand. the intercostal muscles between your ribs also enlarge the chest cavity. they contract to pull your rib cage both upward and outward when you inhale.
