Afood service employee with an open cut or wound may be permitted to prepare food if the:

The food handlers with wounds on the uncovered body parts or with open cuts should not be permitted to handle food or to come into contact with food equipment, utensils, and contact surfaces of the food, unless and until such wounds or cuts are completely safeguarded by waterproof or impermeable dressings or gloves.  

The dressing or bandages should not be of flesh color, so that in case if they fall off they can be distinguished easily, and at the same time, the dressings and bandages should be changed from time to time.
