There are different versions of this well-known logic puzzle, which has been attributed to Einstein. The five houses in Einstein Row are: the Blue House, The Green House, The Red House, The White House and The Yellow House. The houses are not necessarily in this order in the Row. Each house is painted the colour that matches its name.
In each house lives a person of different nationality: british, Chinese, German, American and Russian.
· Each person drinks a different beverage: grape juice, coffee, milk, tea and water.
· Each person has a different job: journalist, nurse, teacher, astronaut and painter.
· Each person keeps a different pet: tiger, zebra, parrot, shark and kangaroo.
· The British person lives in a red house.
· The Russian keeps a kangaroo.
· The Chinese person drinks tea.
· The green house is on the left of the white, next to it.
· The owner of the green house drinks coffee.
· The journalist keeps a parrot.
· The owner of the yellow house is a painter.
· The person living in the house in the centre drinks milk.
· The American lives in the first house.
· The astronaut lives next to the person who owns a tiger.
· The man who keeps a zebra lives next to the painter.
· The nurse drinks grape juice.
· The German is a teacher.
· The American lives next to the blue house.
· The astronaut has a neighbour who drinks water.
