This question is unrelated to World Languages, but it really depends on your parents. Also, why do you think they're going to be against it? Is it because you're older than him? Personally, I don't think that's too much of a big deal, especislly since there isn't much difference between your ages. I suggest you talk to either one of your parents, or both, but give it some time. =)
