1. Write a story or dialogue using pinyin. The story or dialogue can be about anything you've learned up until this point, and must demonstrate a knowledge of vocabulary and grammar patterns. It should be at least 20 lines long. (1 point each)
2. Write at least 10 lines of a dialogue or story using Chinese characters. You can choose to write on any topic of your choosing, but you can only use Chinese characters. (2 points each)
*Note: When writing pinyin, you will find it difficult to write the tone marks (ā, á, ǎ, à), so feel free to use numbers to represent each tone. (ā a1, á a2, ǎ a3, à a4) Fang2zi li3 you3 Your teacher will be lenient on your exactness of each tone. Remember, the important thing is to use the correct vocabulary and demonstrate an understanding of the grammatical patterns you've learned up to this point. Try and put the tones in, but don't worry if you're tones are not 100% correct.
