Cuando era muy niño mi papá me llevaba a la guardería infantil en carro y me dejaba en la entrada de la escuela con el almuerzo que me preparaba mi mamá. Por las tardes, hacía mis tareas y practicaba el piano. Entre semana tenía que dormir siempre a tiempo para ir a la escuela al día siguiente.

The imperfect tense is another type of past tense that in Spanish is used to talk about what used to be done or what was happening before something else happened.  

Regular verbs do not have stem changes and follow the basic conjugation rules.  

Irregular verbs do undergo stem changes, but they usually do so only in certain forms (such as I, you, he, she, they).
