I believe the answer is: if children have intrinsic difficulty identifying and controlling their emotions and if their parents teach them to ignore their intense feelings, they may never learn how to properly control and recognize their emotional arousal

The biosicial theory beleive that personality disorders occurs as a  inappropriate biological response that people do in reaction to the environment around them. This means that the negative feeling could often be managed with proper self-control or hormonal treatment.
