What are the connections between larger economic forces and the economic stratification and racism that results?

Larger economic forces such as: employment, unemployment, the state of competitive environment, demographics, and so on tie in perfectly with economic stratification. To give a clear idea, economic stratification is where social classes are separated along economy lines. If a certain race group is provided better schooling or better jobs, they are at the top of the proverbial food chain. This is where racism ties in to all of it. Typically, people discriminate against minorities because people don’t like difference. In the United States, Hispanics, African Americans, Jews, or even Asians could be discriminated against. In this case, with African Americans, they were not always provided with the best schooling because of segregation. Therefore, like the domino effect, they are unable to get good jobs. Additionally, as jobs change into more technologically advanced jobs, African Americans are less likely to be able to hold down or even get one of those jobs. This causes African Americans to struggle economically.
