What is a sentence for exchange rate?

First of all, exchange rate means when one amount of currency equals another. 

For example, 1 riyal = 0.27 US Dollars.

Now, our sentence:   The exchange rate for 1 riyal was .27 US dollars. 

Exchange rate= the amount from one to another, such as 1 US dollar is the equvialnt to 1.4 candian curency.

Sentence may say...

The exchange rate is relatively low from the US to Canada.
