Relative deprivation: this refers to (in resources, opportunities, material goods, etc.) that are defined by a person as unfair or unjust.

Relative deprivation means deprivation in comparison to others. A person may have resources, opportunities or material goods but still when any of them is less available than another person, then it is termed as Relative deprivation. A person feel relative deprivation is bad as other person is in a better off condition than him or her.
