Arrive to class on time, raise your hand before speaking, turn in assignments on time—these expectations are part of the of students.

These are part of the social role of students. When not attempting these things, students will be considered failures and looked down on by society. However, one might argue that some of these expectations are unfair, as students are very likely to experience role strain, which is stressed caused by one's position in life.
