Let's say you are a baseball player who tries to be consistent in how he/she pitches. after a losing streak, you pitch a perfect game and your team wins. 1. if you are pitching the way you always do, what happened to change your luck? 2. did some altercation in your pre-game ritual lead to the victory? perhaps you wore different socks or put a charm in your pocket while you played? 3. what might you attribute you victory to? would this now become a "superstition"?
