Christine Ladd Franklin was a psychologist and Professor during the year 1900. However, she was underestimated and was not given any credit for her work as she was a woman.

Christine during her academics was not given permission to learn physics as women during that time were not allowed to go to science laboratories. It made her study mathematics in place of physics. Similarly, she also faced difficulty getting admission to Johns Hopkins University due to no women's student policy in that university.

Christine gave a great contribution to the theory of color vision. She explained the adaptation of color vision in animals with three stages. Finally, she also researched about color blindness in humans and the reason behind specific color blindness.
