Local University to Host Science Camp

Salt Lake City – The University of Utah will host a 7-day science camp for local middle schoolers. Students from across Salt Lake City were chosen by lottery to attend the camp which will focus on promoting science and technology.

As part of the 7-day science camp, students will participate in courses taught by University of Utah faculty and take field trips to local science attractions. "I'm really excited to get to take a real college course," says Annabel Johns, an eighth-grader who is attending the camp for the first time. Students like Annabel will also be living in university dorms, eating in the dining halls and interacting with volunteers from the university during their 7-day stay.
