Although some workers in developing countries are exploited by receiving extremely low, often unlivable, wages,
some are helped by the jobs that multinational corporations (MNCs) bring them. Many people in developing
nations have been lifted out of poverty by globalization. Put yourself in the position of a worker in a developing
country whose life has improved because globalization has brought jobs. How might you reconcile the benefits that globalization brings to many in developing countries with the problems and unemployment it sometimes
causes in developed nations, such as the United States? Describe a possible solution to the problem that might
benefit all parties.
