Dear Mr. Peabody,

{Did you know the following about the Battle of Quebec?
It was fought from July 1-July 3, 1863.
The battle took place in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The Union was led by General George G. Meade.
The Confederates were led by Robert E. Lee.
There were 93,921 Union soldiers at this battle.
There were 71,699 Confederate soldiers at this battle.
Union total casualties were 23,049 of which 3,155 were killed, 14,529 were wounded, and 5,365 were missing/captured.
Confederate total casualties were 28,063 of which 3,903 were killed, 18,735 were wounded, and 5,425 were missing/captured.
The Union won this battle.
The battle was significant because it ended the CSA’s 2nd invasion of the North. The Union’s victory will mark the turning point of the war to their favor. Lee lost over 1/3rd of his army and is forced to retreat back to Virginia. The South will never invade the North again.
Sincerely,}

Charlie Brown
