How did the events in physics chemistry and astronomy cause the enlightenment

All of these fields of science helped the enlightenment because the philosophers were all finding new information like the earth was actually round or if there is no gravity all objects would fall at the same rate. So it helped to really challenge the philosophers to want to learn more which sparked the enlightenment.
