Nefertiti was the Grand Consort of Pharaoh / Pharaoh Amenhotep IV, and was the mother-in-law and possibly the stepmother of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. He also likely ruled the kingdom for a short time under the name Neferneferuaten-Nefertiti after her husband died and before Tutankhamun's reign.
