Why do Navy SEALs require such long training? Which part of the training do you think is the most difficult, and why?

NAVY SEALs require more training to build up their skills in the water. I think the most difficult part of their training would be the swimming part because of the SEALs that swim in floodwaters to rescue people, so they have to know the fastest and most effective way to tread water.
