well for one, they have abe linc on the penny, he would probably be mad, i don’t think we ave gotten rid of any coin for a long time, the only time we have gotten rid of coins are the limited edition ones. it helps with having the correct amount of change. for example, you are buying a 98 cent drink and they give you two pennies, how are you gonna have the right change if we got rid of pennies? we would have to create another coin, its a never ending loop, the senate or politicians have talked about this several years ago and nothing has happened to the penny yet. there might be a time in the far future when everyone uses chips to scan and have virtual money banks.
