What I felt is that :)

A) the first joint of my index finger and the middle knuckle of my thumb I have small hands so I might be diffrient from yours and it symbolizes the plates touching I. getting bumped from other plates (tectonic)

B) Moving the hands apart can help ease the pressure. If the plates move away from each other, the pressure between them will decrease.
